Neon Hoult
Neon Hoult was born an orphan. His mother and father died shortly after his birth. He was raised to have a good life in the Golden Orphanage, courtesy of the fine leadership and HG Dynamics. Upon reaching working age (15), Neon joined the elite team of system engineers to complete the neural operating system for the Mindchip platform—an OS more commonly known as MacRoutine Hollows.
Neon is very smart and capable and has a curious mind. He can infiltrate almost any computer system. He has suffered greatly at the hands of another in the past. He is an affectionate person. He was raised in the Golden Orphanage. He is often successful in his approach to most things. He burns with the fires of indignation. He has the skill and talent of a professional athlete.
Neon is partial to watching documentary films, prefers asking for a friend's opinion before making an important decision, and working with a background soundtrack of R&B music for entertainment purposes. However, he dislikes listening to country music, outdoor activities, and spending time on the pointless pages of autobiographical material. Most often Neon will be off playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, watching any episode of Narcos: Mexico, and gobbling up cooking.
Shortly after Neon's induction into the HGD ranks he began to discover the truth behind the Golden Orphanage. Disturbed by what he learned, Neon attempted to dismantle the MR Hollows project from within and, eventually, bring down the HGD corporate government altogether. With mass surveillance throughout Mountain Viewtopia, Neon had to maintain an emotional state within normal ranges to avoid the concern of his employers when taking risky actions against them. To accomplish this, he expedited his work on the MR Hollows operating system and installed a custom build in his own neural implant to ensure the necessary emotional state. Unfortunately for Neon, HG Dynamics' predictive algorithms expected this course of events and allowed it to happen to help meet the aggressive deadlines set for the Mindchip program. They extracted Neon's code while he slept and rewarded for his efforts in the morning. This helped Neon realize he had no real power to oppose his employers and their corporate governance. He understood that he would have to accept the actions taken to procure him from his family—as would the rest of his siblings—for the greater good of humanity.
After Neon's corporate success at HG Dynamics, despite his best efforts, he was promoted to the on-site research team lead by his orphan mother Teena. Their close relationship made all the negative consequences of his failures more tolerable. Teena lead Neon and the other members of the on-site research time on the expedition into the subterrenean caves of Strange Mt. Fuji just prior to its eruption in September (2041). They were both greatly rewarded for their bravery.
Neon goes bananas over the Color Sample Wars episode that featured Fauna Brown and Wild Blue Yonder after Wild Blue Yonder failed to match well with a lime wallet.
