You definitely notice it if you are. And he did this voluntarily. It's just really weird. Sometimes, robotics engineers are like that. Hell, sometimes people are like that if I'm being honest.

Bordo enjoys useful things, discovering the latest sci-fi movies, and getting lost in the pages of autobiographical material. On the other hand, he dislikes watching war movies, being forced to hear R&B music, and reading stupid entertainment magazines. Bordo is by the prospect of working on operating systems, enjoying the heavily music of Noa Kirel, and watching Getting Even with Dad as part of his regular rhythm.
